Three years ago I watched Atonement for the first time, when I had no idea what to expect. Last week I watched it again, and I don’t if it was because it was the second time around and I knew what was going to happen, but I might even love it more now. Maybe because this time I could pay attention to the little details, like amongst other the things the music. At the ending of the trailer you hear this beautiful song. This song -X Ray Dog-Vision- just hits me every time I hear it. It carries so much emotions with it, and it fits the story this movie tells so well.
For those of you who haven’t seen this movie or read the book: The story is about Briony, a 13-year old girl. Her sister Cecilia and their servant’s son Robbie have got something going on. Briony interpretates things the wrong way and things get out of hand. I just want to say: Go check it out. The acting is just amazing, James McAvoy especially did such a good job! But so did Keira Knightley, Saoirse Ronan and Romola Garai. A dramatic movie about love, loss and admitting to being wrong. It is touching and sad, yet so beautiful.
