Yesterday evening I watched White Bird in a Blizzard. And I’ve got to say, the movie was really different from what I expected.
Shailene Woodley was really good in this movie (like usual). Sometimes the movie was a bit creepy, sometimes romantic (but it isn’t a really romantic movie), sometimes weird, or actually most of the time it was a bit weird, but a good kind of weird. Because over all, I think it was a good movie! It also reminded me a bit of Gone Girl and American Beauty. Although these movies are all really different, I just got the feeling that White Bird in a Blizzard will be a movie you might like, if you think the other two movies are good as well.
In short – The movie is about a teenage girl, who’s mother just vanishes one day. You will see what happened before that very day, present and future. It kept me fascinated until the last seconds of the film.
So if you want to see something different and you are into indie kind of movies, with a touch of mystery and weirdness, this will be probably be a movie for you.

I’m really curious about the movie ‘White Bird in a Blizzard’. This could be a movie that I really like or it could be a little too weird. Either way, I definitely want to check it out. I think Shailene Woodley is an amazing actress so never a loss to go to the cinema. It will be out on the 20th of November in the Netherlands, so a review will folow!
What do you expect of ‘White Bird in a Blizzard’?

inA little bit late, but yesterday I watched Divergent. I’m already looking forward to the release of Insurgent right now. I liked the movie, but I think I’m going to like the next one a bit more. The first one always feels a bit like getting used to the idea of the movie for me.
The books are supposed to be really nice too, so maybe I will give that a go too!

Last week I was reminded of this movie and I put it on to my ”watch-list”. Today I decided it was a good day for this movie.
The Spectacular Now is about Sutter and Amy. They are two people with different perspectives on life. Sutter thinks about the here and now, while Amy likes to think about the future.
When I saw the trailer I already got the feeling that this would be a movie that I could appreciate. I like movies about love, but not in a too corny kind of way. I like it to be realistic, but then again, not too depressive (not confusion at all what I’m saying haha). The movie was even better than I expected. It has got so much more in it than the trailer shows.
So if you’re into movies like One Day, The Fault in Our Stars, The Perks of Being A Wallflower, etc. Then I’m sure you would like to watch this one. Although it isn’t as dramatic as the movies named above, it has a got a bit of the same feeling at specific parts. To describe it in short: It’s realistic and kind of makes you long for stuff. With sly humor and an intensity of feeling. The thing I maybe like the most of all is that it makes you think about life, but in the special kind of way where the movie just seems to take you away for a while.
I loved it! So this is definitely a recommandation from me xo

Yesterday evening my friend Sandra and I went to The Fault in Our Stars at the cinema in Rotterdam. I absolutely loved it! Of course it was tragic, but it was realistic, funny and romantic too.
The next thing I want to do now is read the book. Most people like to read a book before seeing a movie, but like I said before, I like to see the movie and be surprised. After that, when I’m really enthousiastic (and sad that the movie is over), I want to know even more about it and then I still have a book to read, yay. I also can get more into a character once I’ve seen the movie with the actors and the music and just everything.
Like a lot of people probably will expect, this movie is great! It gives you something to think about afterwards, just the kind of feeling that I love. Thumbs up for the great acting from Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley!
