Wow, it has been quite a while since I’ve posted anything, sorryyy. My connection in Spain was just horrible! But I came home from Barcelona, my last stop in Spain, yesterday on my birthday (20 years old right now, feeling old, lol). Family and friends were coming over, so then I also had no time to write. But right now I’m BACK. And I’m so excited to be blogging again! So you can expect quite some posts again ;-) Love, Suzan
Today is the day I booked my flight to Spain and I will tell you how excited I am, because I really am! On monday I will fly out to Barcelona and I won’t touch down on the dutch bottom until the end of august. This summer I will be spending my time as an au pair again somewhere close to Lleida, which is also pretty close to Barcelona and my first week will be spent in Peñiscola. So a lot of sightseeing, meeting new people, learning some Spanish, teaching some English and hopefully just having a great time. Of course I will keep you updated. But for now: Adiós amigos ☼
I’m back from Lisbon. I had a great time. I walked, saw, did and laughed a lot. The weather was really good, so that’s a big bonus too. For today, recommendations for dinner/desert.
I would like to recommend you to drink a fresh strawberry shake on the Praça do Comércio square at the Aura Lounge Cafe . Yummy for your tummy. Very refreshing and a really good view! But they have many good other things over here too. Good bruschetta, icecream and drinks. We didn’t had dinner over here but it’s supposed to be really nice too.
And then for dinner.. I’ve been to two very nice places. The first one is Da Vinci placed at Rua das Portas de Santo Antao. This restaurant is placed in a side-street from the the Metro station Restaurados. They serve really nice Italian food, especially pastas, and I love the fresh tomato soup. Also nice to know, the place wasn’t expensive at all.
For a nice desert or pizza I would go to a restaurant close to Rossio train station called Capricciosa. I had a cheesecake for the first time in my life and I can tell you, it was good! My friend ate a pizza magarita over there and I had a few bites. Yummy!
All the places are pretty close to eachother and you can get there easily by feet once you are in the centre of Lisbon. So if you’re planning to go to Lisbon, this just may be some places to start with for you, xo
This Thursday I’m leaving for a week full of fun with friends to Lisbon. From the pictures that I’ve seen the city looks beautiful. The Zara is also a bit cheaper in Portugal, so who knows, maybe I can take some lovely items with me from my previous post, haha. The expectations for the weather are also great so we will probably spend some time on the beach too, yay!
Hope you all have a lovely week. Can’t wait to share my experience of Lisbon with you.
The last two weeks were full of traveling again. This time Sydney was on the planning and Central Australia. In Sydney I’ve just seen all the highlights: the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge, Manly Beach and Bondi Beach. I even got to see a baby whale and it isn’t even the whale season yet, lucky me!
But I think I even liked Central Australia more. I went to see Kings Canyon, Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta. The walks at Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon were so great. All the contrasts of the colors over there were pretty amazing!
For now, 4 more days in Melbourne and then my time in Australia is already over and I’ll be heading back to the Netherlands. Time flies when you are having fun!
